I wouldn't say there's much of a difference, however, if you're going to do 6112's in the front, might as well do 5160's for the rear.

Icon suspension 4runner review. The company is a sema member as well as the premier supplier of suspension components to the leading vehicle manufacturers, namely ford, dodge, jeep, gm, etc. At high speeds and big drops, the icon definitely performs. The low floor in the back of the 4runner is great for getting your gear and tools in and out, but it leaves little room for larger rear shocks underneath the vehicle.

Lane changing is smooth and tight. Icon being the standup company that they are, gave me a discount on some upgraded rear shocks. It was all thanks to our icon suspension.

Icon vehicle dynamics is a premiere performance suspension manufacturer specializing in aftermarket suspension components for trucks, suv's and off road suspension development. At faster speeds, the icon suspension truly shines and the ride becomes even smoother. I am between my phone and computer so it is difficult.

Northwest here, so won't be doing any high speed dessert off roading or significant rock climbing. I am going to install 17x8.5 method racing wheels and 285/70/17 toyos. There are quite a few guys over at 120 running icon suspension.

And the ride with it at the current setting is great. I am narrowing down my choices for a suspension lift for a 2018 4runner without kdss. Both choices are about $100.00 of each other.

The 4runner’s front suspension is very similar to that of the toyota tacoma, the dearly departed fj cruiser and even the lexus gx. I drive my truck 90% in the city as a commuter, 10 % on the weekends into the woods and off roading. Hi all, finally getting to modding my 2016 4runner.

But i love the front suspension setup! Icon vehicle dynamics carries a full line of tubular and billet uniball upper control arms, shock absorbers, coilover shocks, and more. Icon’s cdc values can be adjusted to nine different settings.

This is a long term ownership review, checking in after about 30k miles of having the stage 9 rxt kit from icon vehicle dynamics on our 2006 toyota tacoma 4wd. We’re not saying that the suspension is terrible on a stock toyota 4runner, actually we’re saying quite the opposite, with a factory setup like we have on the trail edition, paired with kdss that’s constantly working to keep the vehicle level, it gives suspension gurus like our friends at icon a playground of opportunity. While this suspension lift is not an actual lift kit, is does somewhat act as one being that it is rebuildable and adjustable.

We immediately felt any settings changes to a softer or stiffer setting. Mostly old logging roads and forest trails. I am personally only running their rear coils on my setup.

Yes, the icon suspension likes speed! The rear probably would have been just about perfect if the shocks were not high pressurized. Because the suspension is tighter, your lane shifting, braking, and feeling of the road are much more responsive.

All of the parts aren’t necessarily interchangeable, but. With icon, you have many options to rebuild many components and add to your suspension on the fly. I've owned a full icon suspension on my 2011 tacoma and now bilstein 6112's on my 4runner.

Some of their parts are definitely better than other though, most specifically their rear shocks. These shocks are 2.5” in diameter and have independently adjustable compression and rebound. The kit was initially installed in.

Freeway driving with the icons is smooth and incredibly responsive. It is a little stiff but that is the nature of the digressive icon suspension. With the 3.5″ suspension lift, you just swap out parts like end links, track bars, remote reservoirs, etc.
